Our American flag will be flying on patriotic holidays to
honor our Veterans and Military Personnel on Memorial
Day, Armed Forces Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, POW-MIA Day and
Veterans Day.
A Tribute Flag may be purchased for $75 in honor or memory of
your veteran or military member.
The Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives will have on permanent
display a plaque with the names of each person honored with a
Flag.
The Flags will be sited on utility poles to be flown on Highway
31 and on Hobbs Street. Approximately 100 flags have currently
been purchased.
Woodmen of the World member, Tom Ed Wright, has given 50
flags from his organization to this project. The flags will be
handled for each individual and kept together for placement and
storage.
